This Privacy
Policy describes how Pingo Doce - Distribuição Alimentar, S.A., with registered
office at Rua Actor António Silva, n.º 7, in Lisboa,
company number 500829993 (hereinafter referred to as “Pingo Doce”),
processes your personal data for the Pingo Doce & Go NOVA app ("app").
Data
collected and purpose
Registering, Billing and Managing Commercial Relationships
Access to the Pingo Doce
& Go NOVA store is limited to customers registered in the app. To this end, we
will only collect your mobile telephone number and username. This information
is stored for the purposes of creating and managing your personal account. Your
taxpayer number and email address may also be collected for the purpose of
managing our commercial relationship (billing, collecting payment, complaints
and satisfaction surveys, and customer service). Any data collected will be
stored for as long as needed to fulfil the aforementioned
purposes and in accordance with statutory retention periods.
Commercial Information
Using the Pingo Doce & Go NOVA app entails
receiving notifications about services, products and campaigns via the app
(push notifications), which is a legitimate Pingo Doce
interest, to share with users services, products and
campaigns that may interest them. You may opt-out of receiving this information
at any time as described below.
Consumer Profiles and Preferences
Signing up for the Poupa Mais Card
By entering the
number of your Poupa Mais
(Save More) Card when registering you are allowing the app to access the
information associated to the transactions on your card and to the personal
data provided for the Poupa Mais
Card. Pingo Doce accesses this information to offer
additional features in the app and to create profiles and design campaigns
tailored to your interests and preferences, when authorised within the Poupa Mais programme. For more

Video Surveillance
The Pingo Doce & Go NOVA store has a CCTV system, in accordance
with legal obligations, to protect people and property. Recordings will be kept
for the statutory retention periods.
Location
When making a
purchase at the Pingo Doce & Go NOVA store, the
location of the mobile phone you used for the transaction will be confirmed to
verify and secure the payment methods.
This information
will be stored for the statutory retention periods.
Other purposes
As a legitimate
Pingo Doce interest, and always safeguarding the
rights and freedoms of those who use the app and services, Pingo Doce may also process user data for the following purposes:
i) fraud prevention and
detection, including localisation of devices while inside the Pingo Doce & Go NOVA store, for the aforementioned
purpose;
ii) information and network security;
iii) website
development and maintenance;
iv) provide
technical assistance.
Exercising
your Rights
Pursuant to prevailing law
and within the limits stipulated therein, you are assured of your right of
access to and rectification, amendment and erasure of your personal data and of
the right to object to the processing of your data, the right to data
portability and the right to restrict processing, which you may exercise by
sending an email to cliente@pingodoce.pt or by calling 808 204 545 and 210
114 411. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNPD
(Supervisory Authority in Portugal), should you believe that the processing of
your data by Pingo Doce violates the law in force. As
regards the purposes for which you gave consent, you may withdraw your consent
at any time as described herein. In this case, withdrawal of consent will not
affect any processing based on consent given before it was withdrawn.
Transmission
of Personal Data and Security
At Pingo Doce,
we have implemented the technical and organisational security measures we deem
necessary to ensure the security of your data when processing the personal data
of our customers.
The data collected will not
be transferred to third parties without your prior consent. However, Pingo Doce does use third-party partners to develop, maintain and
host information systems, marketing and communication agencies, market studies
and customer service. In these cases, Pingo Doce
shall ensure that its partners process your data for the aforementioned
purposes and comply with the appropriate technical and organisational
methods for such processing, in accordance with prevailing law. As such, data
collected may be transferred to third country organisations (outside of the
European Union). All the appropriate security measures shall be taken when your
data is transferred, in accordance with prevailing law.
Your personal data may also
be shared with other organisations a) according to applicable law, b) to comply
with legal obligations and c) for the purpose of responding requests from
public and government authorities.
